Danielle Fealko, Social Media Chair
Danielle joined WOPB in 2023, eager to learn and support the mission, having developed an interest in native plants only recently. Her appreciation for the benefits of native flora and fauna and the ecosystems they serve continues to grow. Although she has a demanding fulltime job in IT, she was quick to volunteer as Social Media chair. She soon volunteered with WOPB as it assists with the Louisiana Native Plant Society’s LA Certified Habitat Program, demonstrating that she was a very fast learner. Her property is a Louisiana Certified Habitat at the Gold level. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and has much opportunity to do so in her role of Social Media Chair as our go to technology consultant. Elected to WOPB’s board of directors in 2023, she also assists with the Website. Danielle’s skills and experience are proving to be invaluable for WOPB. Thank you, Danielle!
Danielle’s favorite:
Iris hexagona, Iris brevicaulis, Iris giganticaerulea, commonly known as Louisiana irises “started me on this path. Blue irises are my mother’s favorite flower, and in looking for some to plant in my own garden, I discovered that they were native plants. The rest is history.”
